Thursday (Going Home Day)

Thursday- Flew Home

Going Home Day is always a sad one to wake up to.  I missed the kids, so that was a big plus in the going home pros and cons, but the weather back home had been just gross (hovering around -15 and large dumps of snow) so that was a big con.

Oh Well.  We woke up and ordered room service one more time (sniff), and packed our bags. We had enough time to meet Rob and Deana one more time down at the beach, and we all jumped in for a final swim.

We went up to our room, showered and got ready, and went down to the lounge for one last drink (chocolate martini for me).  Then we were shuttled away from our ocean, hopped on a plane and off we went to our cold destination.  The flights home were smooth and easy.  Stepping out of the airport once we were home was: NOT EASY.  The body does not like to acclimate over a 100 degree spread in one day, or at least MY body didn't.

*Sigh*

We don't talk to much to our fellow cold weather occupants about the warm reprieve we had, because while a few genuinely want to hear, most have a queer light enter their eyes that silently says they really want to strangle you simply for the fact that you managed to escape the grey and cold for a week.

Now we wait.  Spring is only a little over a month away.
