Tomorrow will be about getting up early, getting all our skiing stuff loaded in the car, and taking off to the slopes. We like to say it's the most expensive way that we can make our kids cry. There will be tears, of that there is no doubt. There will be frustration, wrecks, laying sideways in the middle of a run, positive that this is where the rest of their life will be spent. I've been there (hey, I was there a couple of weeks ago!), but someday they will thank us for putting in the effort to help them learn to ski and snowboard at a young age. Right? RIGHT? They better remember, because this is a act of pure parental love. We haven't spent a weekend home in FOREVER. So tempting to do that!!!
This time there will be Cameron and Darby for the kids to ski with, so maybe that will make it better for them. And there will be Steve and Sabrina too- fellow parents are a wonderful thing. I'm sure it will be fun. My attitude will surely improve.
